OUR STORY

Since I was a teenager, I have made my own clothes on my grandmother’s sewing machine.

That same machine made beautiful pieces, like my mother’s wedding dress, some of my childhood clothes and incredible dresses that always earned my grandmother Alicia compliments. She always regretted never creating her own brand, and blamed herself for setting her dream aside…

Today, as a tribute to her, I am launching her dream alongside mine: C’emadier. A brand built from shapes, strokes and prints born from experiences and stories. Stories about the things that make us curious, questions about life and even about pain. With every collection we want to remind the world that dreams can come true, no matter the adversity.

ART BEYOND PRINTS

From all these feelings, we illustrate and design our own fabrics as a way of expressing our brand. Every print is born from a hand drawing, using different techniques that enrich the concept behind it. This process allows us to create art beyond prints. We want every garment to be unique and exclusive, and to be recognized as part of our universe.

 

TREASURED GARMENTS

At C’emadier, this philosophy lives in our treasured garments. In a world full of possibilities, every piece that leaves our workshop is meant to be an heirloom, kept and passed on. And it is always made on that same first sewing machine, as an intact tribute to the woman to whom I owe this dream.

 

MADE TO ORDER

We produce responsibly. We don’t keep inventory; we work with a pre-order system that prevents overproduction. Every piece is handmade especially for you within 3 to 15 business days.

This matters deeply to us, because our motto is “Stand out from the crowd.” That means being the best version of ourselves, being who we are, and believing, acting, loving and speaking freely. Not only out of conviction, but to stand out by creating positive change in society.

 

C’EMADIER SECOND CHANCES

That is also why we launched C’emadier Second Chances, a program that gives new life to samples that never reached the market, textile waste and unconventional materials, recycling them into new garments.

 

MADE BY WOMEN IN BOGOTÁ

All our garments are made in our workshop in Bogotá, Colombia, by the magical hands of five women who are heads of their households and who put all their love and care into every piece. Their dreams grow alongside ours. By keeping every process local, we also aim to strengthen the economy of our region.

 

QUALITY BEYOND QUALITY

Every garment matters to us. That is why we take great care with our production and standardize our processes, so that the quality our customers recognize remains excellent. That is the added value of our loved and treasured garments.

We put all the love in our hearts into what we do. We believe we are creating much more than beautiful clothes. We want our customers, and everyone around us, to believe in their dreams, feel passion for what they do, and see through our own dream, C’emadier, that anything is possible.

LETTERS TO ALICE
A tribute to my grandmother Alicia. Every piece in this collection is a letter dedicated to her. In her last days she suffered from Alzheimer’s and forgot many things, so these letters were written to remind her who she was and the life she lived.

 

HOME
Home speaks of our safe place. This collection represents how comfortable we feel at home and how that feeling can extend to other parts of our lives, helping us feel more confident in ourselves.

 

ROOTS
A tribute to our family heritage, to our ancestors and to the purest ways of staying true to where we come from.

FREAK WORLD
A call to make peace with the demons that live inside each of us. It is a white flag after fighting the parts of ourselves that are hard to change: those little demons, like depression or anxiety, that are present in so many moments of our lives.
